12m mobile tower

For the purpose of testing new antenna constructions in the field, I am in the process of procuring a 12m tower. The tower will be mounted on a trailer, so that it can be transported to the field.

The source tower is a 12m high, 3 section, tilt-over tower. It is made of galvanized steel and is in good condition. The tower is equipped with a winch and a pulley system to raise and lower the tower. The tower is mounted on a small base with wheels that is intended for manual short length transport by hand or perhaps by fork lift or something. Not by car and not on roads. It was used as a rental light tower for construction sites and such.

An auction of three of these towers was won by my friend and partner in this project SA6ANW. The tower is located in the south of Sweden, so we will have to go there and pick it up. This is very a bit of a challenge considering the size of each of the towers and the way they portrude out the back of a trailer.
